1a1e0f9d64 Make FreeBSD package names conform to how you would add them with "pkg" 
It's easier to find packages in the FreeBSD package or ports system if
you list what category (actually, subdirectory) they belong to.

While the command given might have worked, specifying "comms/xastir"
instead of "xastir" is more correct.

225c392bdb Update info about FreeBSD 
FreeBSD updated their Xastir port to 2.2.2, and the port is no longer
unmaintained.  Say so.

590250d822 Pare down required packages to those really necessary 
The 'pkg install' list in this document had way more packages than are
strictly necessary for installing Xastir.  Most of the extra ones were
things that are automagically pulled in by GraphicsMagick and don't
need to be enumerated explicitly.
