APRS is pretty useless without some sort of interface that feeds it data from the outside world.

  • Interface Control brings up the Interface Control dialog, where you can define interfaces and control them.
  • The check boxes allow one-click global disabling of transmissions through all interfaces. You can completely disable transmission, or just prevent certain types of transmissions.
  • Enable Server Ports: Makes Xastir listen for UDP and TCP traffic on port 2023. These Server Ports allow you to inject APRS data into Xastir from external programs or scripts, or even to other Xastir instances on other computers in your network.
