Networked GPS

If you've got GPSD installed and have set it up to communicate with a GPS unit, you can get Xastir to use that to get GPS data.

  • GPSD Host: The address of the computer on your network that is running GPSD. Can be "localhost" if this is the same computer.
  • GPSD port: The port on which gpsd is listening.
  • Comment: A note for the Interface Control dialog.
  • Activate on Startup?
  • Reconnect on failure: Try to reconnect if the connection to the daemon drops.
  • Set System Clock from GPS Data?: Xastir must have SUID root privilege for this to work.
