Table of Contents
The Station menu
- Find Station: allows you to look up an APRS station by callsign. If that station has been heard by your station, Xastir will center the map on the last location reported. If you have downloaded the FCC and RAC databases (see Helper Scripts), this dialog can also be used to look up the public license information about the ham associated with the callsign.
- Track Station: Will cause Xastir to highlight the icon associated with a callsign/SSID with colored circles. If the station is moving, the highlighted icon will be kept on screen, panning and recentering the map as necessary. This same dialog can be used to discontinue tracking a station. Only one station can be tracked at a time.
- Fetch Findu Trail: download a station's raw packets from findu.com. Useful for getting historical information about a station's movements prior to your starting an Xastir session onto your map.
- Export All: Create a KML file of all station information. Useful for getting APRS data into a GIS for other analysis.
- Filter Data: Contains a submenu of check boxes you can select or deselect to filter out some stations from your display
- Filter Display: Choose what information about stations will be displayed on your map.
- Configure: there are no real configuration options here, despite the name. You can use the options here to clear some information out of the in-memory database or to erase certain history files.
